According to article L4121-2 of the Health Public Code, the Order « oversees the respect of principles of morality, probity, competence and loyalty and the implementation by all its members of professional duties and rules laid down by the Ethical Code »
Our main missions are:
- Registering and controlling the access to the profession
- Drafting and adapting the Midwives Ethics Code (Code de déontologie)
- Enforcing the Ethics rules through disciplinary sanctions
- Representing the profession at national, European & International level
- Defending the honor and independence of the profession
